We always enjoy the Cove. It's centrally located and one of the only beaches on the south side to long board. The kids love this beach too.
Very popular for the surfers and boogie boarders. I enjoyed watching their skills just before the sun set then sat back and watched the sun disappear over the horizon.
This is a hidden gem in South Maui. It's a great spot for beginner to moderate surfers, especially children.You will also catch one of the best sunset. Bring your food, find a spot and just relax and watch the sun going down. It's across the street from vendors and restaurants. So after the sunset, you will still have time to go grab some shave ice.
Great park, volleyball, picnic, great for beginner surfing.. lots of surf lessons, restaurants across the street.
you are always going to get this one dude pacing back and forth during sunset ruining everyone's photos, but it's still so beautiful (and free and not private!) that i still loved every second of that sunset

Great place to learn surfing and enjoy sunset views.
Lots of waves for surfing, paddle boarding, and boogie boarding. Around the reef to the south there is a lovely collection of coral and fish to snorkel around and view, even with the waves kicking up sand near noon.
